Soccer Source: When you played as boys, what was your first exposure to the game?
I guess I am asking, if you were poor like you mention, what did you play with?
How did you get the balls and equipment to learn the game?"
Ludwig Edouard: Lemons, limes, balled up socks, oranges and if we were really lucky, we would have a rubber ball.
We didn't have goal nets. We didn't have cones. We had poles or just an agreed upon space. We played with what we had.
"Coaches should be able to demonstrate what they are asking the players to do on the field. Learn the game. Learn the game."
Ludwig Edouard, Founder of EIOS
Most coaches will tell you they know the game... here at EIOS we open the definition of knowing the game, to a higher level. At EIOS the game truly can be played and won, even without the ball.
Our EIOS Certification Program sends coaches back to their teams with the skills they came with but a whole new method to teach them.
Become an EIOS Certified Coach or Instructor.
The mental strength of a player begins with finding their personal center. It is never about the ball or the field skills alone. It is about their very personal goals. When you connect personal goals to a player's role on a team, organic passion can be discovered. This is how stars are born, Olympians are trained and pros are built.
Only at EIOS does a player master two games in one training program.
Become an EIOS Trained Athlete.
Master the skills of the game; you will play well. Master the mental aspects of the game and win.
